JOHN: Welcome to VTalk Radio. I am your host, John Bentley Fillmore. I have the pleasure in the studio today to welcome Ms. Suzan Moody.
SUZAN: Hi, John. Thanks for having me in today.
JOHN: Yes, Suzan, thank you for coming. You have a special foot cleansing spa machine working on my feet right now. Tell me a little bit about the machine, name of the company, that kind of stuff.
SUZAN: My company, the distributorship, is www.inharmonyspas.com. At the moment, you've got your feet in warm salt water. What's happening, you're also seeing bubbles from a water module. That water module is creating negative and positive ions as it splits the H2O into 2 H&O's or hydrogen and oxygen. And when that happens, those negative ions want to grab onto toxins and sweat.
JOHN: So that's what's happening, right, is I'm having these toxins removed through my feet?
SUZAN: Through your feet. With every beat of your heart, the blood is going down into your feet. You have 2,000 pores in the bottom of each foot, so a total of 4,000 pores are being encouraged to sweat and sweat toxins out. So, every time your heart pumps, that blood flow is going through your capillaries. The layer of skin called the dermis also contains your lymph system. You have lymph nodes, obviously in your throat and by your armpits, but the lymph system itself goes through all your dermis also, so with every beat of your heart, you're cleaning your blood through the sweat process and the lymph system. So, you're detoxing in a very gentle and easy way.
JOHN: I see that the water is turning colors right now. I also see some things floating around in the water that I don't recall were on my feet when I put my feet into the water. What are these things and why is the color changing?
SUZAN: Well, the first thing that your feet will sweat out is just some cellular debris. You're actually starting a change of color, which is natural for the water in our area. We have a certain amount of iron content, so don't start being worried about that orange-yellow color. Usually during the first five minutes of any session, the color changes due to the water. What's not due to the water is the bubbles you are seeing around the water element. That is from your lymph system. I've done three different tests on three different types of water and you never get the bubbles without a human foot or hands in the spa.
JOHN: So, this is called an ionic cleanser.
SUZAN: It's an ionic and detox cleanser, yes.
JOHN: Now, we are going to go through about a 20-minute session here, but how long do you traditionally go through this process?
SUZAN: Typically, a person would go 30 minutes, unless they are very toxic. If they're working on something like a cancer patient with chemo, they might only do 20 minutes, just because their system is already fighting enough things. If they're really healthy, they can go 40 minutes.
JOHN: Tell me a little bit about the company that actually makes this machine; where are they located, what's the name of the company, and how do they sell this product to every day Joe and Joanne.
SUZAN: Well, it is an Electro Chi machine. There's two companies in the states that have this type of technology. One is in Alabama. This company is located in Texas. They sell through distributorships, which I am a distributor for this machine.
JOHN: So, you can't just go to the company and get one.
SUZAN: You could go to the company and get one, but then you'd have to sign the agreement to be a distributor, so you'd have to agree to x amount of machines. If it's just for home use or just for a clinic, you would want to go through a distributor.
JOHN: Great. Now, also, you having me drink a special potion here. Tell me a little bit about what I'm drinking here.
SUZAN: Just like any time you sweat in a major way, whether you're outside on a hot, sunny day or you do some major sports event, you are going to sweat, and a lot of people know that once you do that, you want to replace some electrolytes in your body, whether it be Gatorade or a beer or something.
JOHN: Beer?
SUZAN: Yes, some people will drink beer for their electrolytes. Gatorade is better. What you're drinking right there is actually a formulated electrolyte, because your body is actually doing a massive sweat. Even though you don't feel hot and you don't feel particularly sweaty, this is forcing your feet to do a major sweat, so we do need to replace those electrolytes in you.
JOHN: Okay. So, officially though, this is considered a beauty product.
SUZAN: That is true.
JOHN: Okay. Tell me about that aspect of it and then we'll get a little deeper into what this is actually doing.
SUZAN: The device is approved in this country as a beauty device. Even though detoxification is important to keep your skin healthy, reduces acne in a major way, eczema, any skin issues, this machine will do a great job because the first and foremost thing it does is help cleanse the skin. What people are finding is when they detox, they are freeing their body up so that the body can heal and do what else it wants to do.
JOHN: Okay. Now, when you say it deals with acne, I don't have to put my face in this stuff, do I? It's just strictly going to take these toxins out through the bottom of my feet.
SUZAN: Correct.
JOHN: Okay. I can't hold my breath that long.
SUZAN: No, no. We don't want to put a goggle and snorkel on either. I have a client who is now in session three. She came to this country about two years ago, and so for two years, the food, the water has been ravaging her face. She really literally looked like she had landlines all over when we started. After session three, her skin is so clear. She is so ecstatic, and she has been going to the dermatologist for two years. She's not used to the food in this country, but yet after three sessions, her skin is so clear and it is now functioning. She says she can actually see the healing happening already with any new blemish. So, all the old blemishes are healing and the life cycle of any new blemish is so much shorter that they are already healing on their own without any medical treatment.
JOHN: That's wonderful. I have a number of problems myself that I have not gone to the doctor about. One is I have very itchy ear canals. You say that this can do stuff for acne and for the skin and dermatitis. I suspect that I have a problem with ear wax and it is constantly drying in the ear canal. Have you ever heard of this helping something like that?
SUZAN: Actually, I don't have any clients right now who have indicated an earwax problem. It seems to me it would be a very logical, as part of the function of your lymph system is actually through the pores, it creates a layer of thin acid and oil as a barrier to air so that your skin doesn't get infected by just walking through the yard. But also, your ears specifically create a thicker wax, which is what we call earwax, to do the same thing. It's a protective layer and a barrier so that your skin doesn't get infected, because now you have a moist dark canal. So, the skin there produces it in a much heavier way. So, I would think this would assist you in that.
JOHN: Well, let's hope so. I've gone to a number of doctors, trying to find what my problem is, a solution. It seems to me that a lot of physicians just want to treat symptoms, not get to the core of the problem, and that seems to be my problem. They want to give me answers to the symptoms, but I'm not having the specific problem taken care of.

JOHN: And we're back on VTalk Radio. Today, we are talking to Suzan Moody and we're discussing her Electro Chi machine. It's a machine that takes out toxins in your body through your feet or hands. A very interesting little device here. My big question here is now that we've come back, my feet have been in this concoction for almost 15 minutes. I'm seeing some color and some foam. Can you tell me what's going on here right now with my feet.
SUZAN: Okay. Well, remember, we started with clear water and a little Dead Sea salts and warm water. So, the saltwater bath encouraged your feet to sweat. The process of the ionic module is the negative ions grab ahold of that sweat and create sort of an osmosis or very mild vacuum, so it's just encouraging your feet to sweat even more. So, we're doing like a major sauna here. You're just profusely sweating even though you don't feel hot. You're comfortable. It's very easy. You're just sitting here with your feet in warm water. The colors and the things that you are seeing sometimes indicates the type of toxins that are being released from your body. You have a lot of foam there, which would say your lymph system is fighting some kind of infection. If you're healthy, that's still a good thing because that is what the lymph system is supposed to be doing. You've got some brown orange in there. That's typical of cellular debris. A lot of times I see that when people have worked outside, some sortof biking/running or just a lot of exercise. Sometimes there's a lot of cellular debris. Or if you haven't detoxed in a while. You are seeing a slight green tint to the water if you look under the orange and the brown.
JOHN: Yeah, sure. I'm seeing that now.
SUZAN: And that could be a little bit of liver or it could be a little bit of kidneys.
JOHN: I quit drinking years ago, so I'm sure it's not my liver.
SUZAN: Which is why this is really truly a beauty product. We're not trying to diagnose the fact that you are fighting an infection. We are not trying to diagnose the fact that your lymph system is fighting a bug. It's just a result of doing these sessions over and over again and knowing that certain colors and the foam does indicate toxins that are being released. And sometimes you can tell which organs are being cleansed.
JOHN: So this could give you an idea that you might have a problem and you would set up an appointment with a physician to have them look at me closer?
SUZAN: It could. When we sweat, we typically detox anyway. It's really truly a normal process. When someone's having specifically a skin issue, the skin is trying to release a toxin. That's what acne is about. That's what eczema is about. Sometimes, we might see something in the water that does indicate they should see a physician, and we would certainly tell them to go just to check.
JOHN: Now, how often would I do something like this?
SUZAN: If you decide that you need a major detox, you could do it twice a week for two months. Say you were trying to quit drinking and you were trying to cleanse your liver, that would be a good schedule for you. Sessions typically take about 30 minutes, and there is a $45.00 charge.
JOHN: Okay, that was going to be my next question. How much does it cost for this kind of session. Where can I do this? Obviously, we are in the studio right now and I'm doing it right here. So, you would actually come to somebody's residence or business and set this up and do this for them?
SUZAN: Yes.
JOHN: Okay. What if somebody wanted to buy one of these machines themselves. How do they go about doing that?
SUZAN: Well, they would determine what their need was. What I brought into the studio today is a clinical model. This can run 10 hours a day without overheating. There is a home unit that would be more appropriate for someone in their own residence, and that runs about $800.00. Obviously, at $45.00 a session, if you have something major going on, it will be cheaper in the long run to have purchased a machine.
JOHN: So, you said you could do this up to what, once a week for two months did you say?
SUZAN: Twice a week. For two months.
JOHN: Then, do you have to take a break from it?
SUZAN: It's just, it's a very normal process, just like sweating. If you are noticing something happening with yourself, you are fighting a cold, you are getting a rash, you can start up again. Some people who are perfectly healthy will do once a month just because we get toxins in our food, in our air, in our water, and they just want to be a little bit cleaner.
JOHN: Okay. Would it be alright for somebody to do this if they are taking prescription drugs?
SUZAN: It depends on what the prescription drug is. People who have had organ transplants, that set of drugs can contain metals. One of the things this machine will do is help you sweat out heavy metals. So, they would not want to participate in a session because the metal is in the medicine and you don't want to pull that out. Whereas, other people who maybe have been exposed to heavy metals may want a session because they want to pull the metal out.

JOHN: Excellent, excellent. Now, I've been in here for approximately 20 minutes. Is this telling you anything at this point in time?
SUZAN: Well, it's telling me that your liver is actually cleansing itself. You have some black/green water going on and you've got some green coloration to your foam, so I'd say it was a good day for you. You're cleaner than when you started.
JOHN: Well, I certainly feel good. Now, is there a sensation that I'm going to have when I get done with this?
SUZAN: Some people experience some tingling through the ionic module, but some people just say they feel more energized. I had one person, she went home and she cleaned her basement for three hours. I've had other people say, I'm so tired, I went home and took two different naps. So, it's whatever your body feels it needs to do for itself. You're actually cleaning from the inside out, and whatever your body needs to do to adjust to a healthier you, it's going to do.

SUZAN: Well, two reasons. It could be something very specific. They've given up smoking or alcohol or some other substance and they want to purge their system. It also could be a result of something else they're battling. We've had people on chemotherapy and, after the therapy session, it's important to get the chemo out to feel better, so that could be a proactive reason.
JOHN: That's a great thing. I know a lot of people that go through chemo are very sick through the process. This might actually help them?
SUZAN: We actually had a client on chemo and didn't know whether or not we should treat them. We had them go back to their doctor, and their physician said oh yes, the faster you can get that out, the better you'll feel. Go for it. Do as many sessions as you can. And they felt terrific. The last reason anybody would want to detox is just to be healthy in general. You know, our food, our water, we build up toxins over the years. After about 50, your liver and your gallbladder need a little help in working, so just for general health reasons would be a good idea to detox.
JOHN: Okay. Once again, the color that I'm seeing in my little bath here is a little bit of green. I've got some foaming and it's brown-looking foam, and I've got a lot of little floaty things in here that I can't believe actually came off my feet. Tell me again, what exactly is going on here.
SUZAN: The very fine floating things is just cellular debris. That's pretty natural. That's pretty normal. You see that with everybody. It's the color and the foam, the black/green color typically indicates you're doing some liver cleansing, and the foam indicates you're doing some lymph system cleansing. But again, this is a beauty product, you know. You're going to be radiant later.
JOHN: It's going to help clear up my acne. This is a good thing.
SUZAN: Correct.
